Given Arden Shore’s breadth of Behavioral Health and Support Services, we have the capacity to take a number of clinical interns to provide them with a variety of learning experiences. Depending upon the program, student and recent graduate interns are supervised by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and/or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, who is present when students are in placement to provide clinical support and direction. Arden Shore is very committed to providing students with a vast and enriching experience so students are prepared to enter the mental health workforce.

“Before Arden Shore, I wasn’t completely sure what type of career I wanted to pursue after I graduated but Arden Shore helped me see that I love being a therapist and having my own caseload of clients. I cannot wait to start my career as a therapist. Without this experience, I don’t think I would have chosen to become a therapist. Thank you so much for this opportunity, it was truly life changing!” —Maria, MSW Intern

Available Internships are listed below.

Arden Shore hosts Master’s Level MSW and MA-Counseling (or the like) students for a dynamic and formative clinical internship. We expect that upon completion students will be thoroughly prepared to obtain employment in a variety of settings. The internship includes competency development in completing assessments and treatment plans and utilization of multiple treatment modalities with children, adolescents and adults. Students will become highly educated with regards to providing trauma informed treatment and they will learn to implement the Attachment, Self-Regulation and Competency framework (ARC), an evidence based model utilized to treat traumatic stress in children and adolescents. Lastly, students will be proficient in the completion of Medicaid compliant documentation which is a valuable skill with the expansion of managed care organizations.
