30 Days of Strength for Families

March 10, 2026

How our community is showing up for children this April

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time when communities across the country recommit to strengthening families and preventing harm before crisis takes hold. At Arden Shore, prevention is not something we talk about once a year. It is the daily work of supporting families early β€” building the relationships, resources, and community connections that help children grow up safe, supported, and surrounded by people who care.

But moments like this remind us of something important: families do not thrive alone. Communities matter. Across Lake County, families are navigating real pressures β€” rising costs, uncertainty around public systems, and the everyday challenges of raising children in a complex world. The children we serve experience those pressures at home, at school, and in their sense of safety.

Prevention happens when communities respond before problems become crises. It happens when families know they have somewhere to turn. It happens when neighbors, organizations, and local partners decide that the well-being of children is something we protect together.

Introducing: 30 Days of Strength for Families

This April, Arden Shore is inviting our community to join us in 30 Days of Strength for Families β€” a month of visible action supporting children and families across Lake County.

Throughout April, we will highlight different ways people in our community are showing up for families. Some days will feature service projects, others will recognize community partners and sponsors, and some will simply share ideas, encouragement, and resources that help families stay strong. Each action carries the same message: Families in our community do not stand alone.

Ways to Participate

We are inviting individuals, businesses, and community groups to claim a day during the month. Please email info@ardenshore.com to learn more.

🌿 Lead or Join a Service Day

Service projects may include:

  • Assembling hygiene or comfort kits for families
  • Hosting a diaper or gift card drive
  • Donating supplies for therapy rooms
  • Writing notes of encouragement to foster families
  • Helping with small campus improvement projects that make our space welcoming for children

🟦 Sponsor a Day

Community partners can also support a day financially. Sponsorships typically range from $250–$1,000, with $500 often serving as a meaningful benchmark.Β These contributions directly support prevention services that help families access support before crisis occurs.

πŸ’™ Wear Blue Day – April 10

On April 10, communities nationwide will participate in Wear Blue Day, a visible signal of our shared commitment to protecting children and strengthening families. Whether it’s a blue shirt, a blue ribbon, or a social media post β€” it’s a reminder that prevention is possible when communities act together.

Strong Families Build Strong Communities

The work of prevention is not carried by any one organization. It is built by parents, neighbors, teachers, community leaders, and partners who believe children deserve to grow up safe and supported.

When families are strong, the future is strong. And when communities show up β€” even in small ways β€” those actions add up to something powerful. If you would like to participate in 30 Days of Strength for Families, please email us at info@ardenshore.com. Together, we can make sure families in our community know they are not alone.
