Arden Shore Child and Family Services was honored to be chosen for Abbott’s day of service. Last week, five volunteers from Abbott painted and made over Arden Shore’s spaces for family connection. While children are in out-of-home care placements, family time is essential for healthy child development, especially for children in foster care, as it helps to maintain parent-child attachment, preserve a sense of belonging as part of a family and community, offers reassurance for children and their parents, and increases the likelihood of timely reunification.
